SUMMER PADEL MASTER LEAGUE 2025
Basic aspects of how the league works
1st - Register in the Masterliga Padel management system using the link you will receive by email. Next, I recommend installing the Masterliga Padel app on your mobile device, which you can find in the Play Store (Android) and the App Store (iOS).
2nd - Check the dates of the matches to be played. The range of dates indicated for each match is merely indicative, and any match can be played at any time as long as it is agreed between the teams involved.
3rd - Use the chat function included in each matchday within the Masterliga management system to communicate with the other pair and check the availability of the remaining players. It's important to use this chat because it will keep a record of everything discussed, allowing you to try to agree on match dates and, if anything comes up, to mediate as the organizer in the fairest way possible.
4th - Once availability has been discussed, you must look for any available court within the playing area of this league, which will be either Marina Alta or Safor. League phase matches have been organized by zones, and there must be agreement between the pairs regarding the venue for the match. If there is no agreement, the court proposed by the home pair for that match day takes precedence.
Once you've booked the court, you'll need to return to the match day in the Masterliga system and click the "edit" button. A screen will appear; click on "start time," and a calendar will appear. Select the date and time of your reservation, and then, under "playing location," choose the court at the club or city where the court is located. Click the "save changes" button, and that's it! Your match will now be saved in the system. This last step is very important to ensure your reservation is registered instantly in the Masterliga system.
5th - Arrive on time for the match. Any player on a team 20 minutes late will result in a walkover (forfeit match and a -3 point penalty). The balls for the match must be provided by the designated home team each day. However, if the balls are not in good condition or the visiting team provides better ones, the four players may agree on whichever balls are best. If there is no unanimous decision, the balls provided by the home team will be used.
6th - 5-minute warm-up. The match will be played with a golden point in the best of 2 sets. In case of a tie at 1 set to 1 set, a Super tiebreak (to 10 points) will be used. This has been decided due to time limits in court reservations and to facilitate finishing the matches, as the matches will be 1.5 hours long, respecting the court schedules of the clubs and always without exceeding the times established in each reservation (exceptionally, if the club where the match is played allows the match to be extended a little if no one plays in the next slot and the club allows it, but always after asking the club and paying an extra time cost if the club requires it). It is possible to play a third set if time allows (the first two sets have finished very quickly and you can play a third set without problems), although this last set will be uploaded to the application in the box that says Supertiebreak, this tiebreak result, whether it is a third set or a Supertiebreak, does not count the games won in order to unify the results criteria with all the other matches that play a supertiebreak to 10 points.
7th - Due to the different courts available at the clubs, you should ask the club if it's possible to play outside on the court you'll be playing on. Please play fair during matches. In case of a disputed point, if three players say one thing and only one says another, the decision will be made by majority vote; the decision of the three players will stand. If two players say one thing and two others say another, the point will be replayed. These rules are intended to prevent arguments.
8th - When you have finished the game, the 4 players who have played the game will have to pay for the court by going to the club staff as if it were a normal game and paying the amount that the club determines.
9th - Before leaving the club premises, I recommend entering the match result through the Masterliga App management system. One of the four players should log into the system, go to the match, and click on "upload results." A few boxes will appear with fields for 1st set, 2nd set, and Super tiebreak. Enter the numerical result there and move the "match finished" checkbox to indicate that the match has ended. If you are unable to finish the match for any reason, upload the result but do not move the "match finished" checkbox. Notify me via WhatsApp or through the app; there is an option to send a message to the organizer that you can use to contact me.
10th - The system created in the Masterliga for this padel league will score as follows:
Ranking sorted by: Total points, Set difference, Game difference.
-Won 2 sets to 0 sets = 3 points for the winner and 0 points for the loser
-Won 2 sets (1 set + Super tiebreak) to 1 set = 3 points for the winner and 1 point for the loser
11th The system will automatically make the classification using these scores.
12th At the end of the league phase, the pairs that qualify according to the number of entries in each category will qualify for the final master (April 5th and 6th):
In this competition, all pairs will qualify for the Master Final on September 6-7 and 13-14. If any category has more than 16 pairs, it will be divided into two divisions in the Master Final with different brackets: one for the top-ranked pairs (Gold) and another for the rest (Silver), with different prizes.
In this case, in this edition of the 2025 Summer Master League, in no category has exceeded the registration of 16 pairs, so only one bracket will be made for each category in the final phase with all participants and the prizes corresponding to the gold division indicated on the tournament poster will be awarded.
13th - There may be promotions and relegations before the final master if the following is met:
1- At the end of the league phase and if there is a higher category, the first ranked teams in the lower league can challenge one of the last ranked teams in the higher category before the final master and if they win the match they would exchange places to play the final phase in different categories.
2- In the next Master League, they would continue to maintain these categories if the same members of the pair sign up.
3- It is not mandatory to challenge in order to be promoted, if you can only challenge from a lower category to a higher one, not the other way around.
4- It is possible to challenge from a higher category to a lower one to be relegated as long as there is one from the lower category willing to want to be promoted and has not won more than one set in the entire league having played more than 80% of the matches.
IT IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS PLAYING IN THE FINAL PHASE NOT TO HAVE MORE THAN 1 MATCHDAY UNPLAYED, PLEASE TRY TO PLAY ALL MATCHDAYS WITHIN THE TIME OF THE LEAGUE WHICH IS FROM 17/02/2025 TO 30/03/2025.
14. Regarding game cancellations, each club has its own policy, so you should speak with them. However, normally, if you cancel more than 24 hours before the reservation, nothing should happen. If there is less time, you must speak with the club where you have reserved the court to resolve the issue, such as finding a player who is not on one of the teams (it will not count as a league game if the player does not belong to any of the teams or if they do not register with one of the teams before the game, which has a maximum of 3 players). If the issue cannot be resolved, you will have to pay the club you have reserved the game for, even if you do not play. In this case, the team that decided not to play would be responsible, leaving the other team without a game. If this happens repeatedly, starting from the second time, they will be penalized with a loss of the game and -3 points, and will have to pay the club for the entire court.
15th - I will leave this and a more extensive regulation in the Masterliga system that you can download and also the padel regulations of the Spanish padel federation so that you can download it and consult any aspect.
16. For any other questions, you can use the same management system within the Masterliga website and app. Go to each matchday, click "Send message to the organizer," and tell me the problem you're having, and I'll help you as soon as possible. You can also contact me via WhatsApp at the same phone number you used to register.
Finally, I want to say that this is a championship we all have to work on together, so a little involvement and responsibility from everyone is necessary. If each of us does our part, I'm sure everything will go well and we can enjoy it to the fullest. I'm going to try my best to make sure everything goes smoothly and be available to everyone whenever I can. I ask for your patience if I can't always reply instantly because I might be teaching.
Thanks for signing up and good luck to everyone.
